IoT, aka Internet of Things

Internet of Things

Dear Papa Al,

I wanted to share a picture of me working on my school projects at home. Can you post this in College Days?

In this photo, I'm working on an IoT, aka Internet of Things. The project is for agriculture, which is a greenhouse monitoring system using IoT technology. I'm monitoring temperature, humidity, soil moisture, and other parameters to optimize plant growth. It's an exciting project, and I'll be sending more pictures soon to keep you updated on my progress.

IoT is a technology that allows various devices and sensors to connect to the Internet and communicate with each other. We need IoT in agriculture to make farming more efficient and sustainable. By collecting real-time data from sensors placed in a greenhouse, farmers can make informed decisions about when to water, adjust temperature and humidity, and ensure optimal conditions for plant growth.

In real life, IoT is applied in numerous ways, from smart home devices that control lighting and thermostats to industrial applications like monitoring machinery for predictive maintenance. In agriculture, as I mentioned, it can help farmers maximize crop yields while minimizing resource usage.
