The Wall Issue
The True Value of a Wall

A good number of people who voted for Donald the Dumb, our fake president, did so due to his talking about building the wall between the US and Mexico. Beyond the questionable issue regarding the effectiveness of a wall, that never factored into his equation. He was going to build the wall but demanded that Mexico pay for it. For three years, Donald the Dumb has talked the talk but hasn’t done anything about his wall. However, the worm has turned. Actually, there are two turned worms.

The first worm is that the democrats now control Congress. Prior to the recent midterm election, Donald the Dumb had total control over what happened with Congress. The democrats will standup to him unlike the republicans in Washington who are somewhat illiterate at least when it comes to literature, along with our fake president. This is especially true of plays by Shakespeare, the Bard of Avon. Shakespeare wrote,

Cowards die many times before their deaths, The valiant never taste of death but once.

Name one valiant republican in the Senate or the House. The are dying many times, and, when they physically die, they will be remembered as cowards, Trump’s yes-men. What a legacy.

The second worm that turned is Robert Mueller. He is apparently wrapping up this investigation of Donald the Dumb. Since Mueller has not briefed me of his findings, I’ll withhold writing about something with which I am not privy. Nonetheless, Donald the Dumb mouths off about things about which he has no information, which accounts for much of his lack of good governance.

Donald the Dumb

Someone needs to read to Donald the Dumb before tucking him in bed at night. That person needs to get him ready to go night-night. This is a photo of one of his babysitters getting him down to Earth before going to sleep.

Baby Trump getting ready for a good night’s sleep.

Once that he tweets some messages to his minions, one of his babysitters needs to address three concepts of building walls: a Chinese one, a German one, and an American one.

The Chinese were a precursor of Donald the Dumb. They wanted a wall not to keep out Mexicans, but to keep out Mongols and other foreigners.

The Great Wall of China

It was a great idea to build the Great Wall, which stretches more than 5,000-miles, but it didn’t work. When a Mongol army wanted into China, they merely bribed a guard at one of the hundreds of gates along the Great Wall. While it didn’t take long to breech the Great Wall, however, to the best of my knowledge, none of the Mongols and others were “criminals, drug dealers, rapists, etc.” like Donald the Dumb claims the Mexicans are that enter America.

The next bedside story that Donald the Dumb needs to have read to him is about the Berlin Wall. The 96-mile wall, which was started in 1961, was torn down in 1989. The history of the Berlin Wall was a sad story for about 138 East Germans who were killed in their attempt to get to West Berlin, but some 5,000 were fortunate. This picture is of Bobby Kennedy and Willy Brandt, who at the time was the mayor of Berlin, standing at the Berlin Wall.

Another wall

Finally, the last bedtime reading for our fake president is the book by Randy Pausch, The Last Lecture. While it is a very short read, perhaps, he could watch a video of The Last Lecture. I have read the book, which was given to me by a co-worker at Carnegie Mellon where Pausch was a professor.

Randy Pausch and his Last Lecture

The video of Pausch’s Last Lecture was the best lecture that I have heard in more than a dozen years in college, graduate school, and post-graduate school and any of my lectures that I have given in over two decades of teaching.

This is what Pausch thought about walls,

The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough. They’re there to stop the other people.

This is where I enter the picture. The shutdown and antics of Donald the Dumb are affecting getting approval from the IRS of We Are Family in Myanmar, Inc. as a not-for-profit charity. I have to raise $500,000 for 1250 laptops and improved Internet reception to the two school where my three granddaughters attend. I know what a wall means…DELAY.

I am behind the eight-ball. I need to raise a half million dollars, buy, and then have shipped 1250 laptops to Taunggyi, Myanmar. In addition, I need to discuss improving the Internet reception with some Internet providers in that area. All of this needs to be done in less than a year from today. I can’t raise money without my 501(c)3 charity, Donald the Dumb’s wall morphs into my wall. He is stopping millions of government workers from being paid and jeopardizing the literal safety and security of all Americans. I get that, in the grand scheme of things, I don’t count when it come to Donald the Dumb’s dumb actions. I am facing a wall that he constructed…. Good!

I have the time to demonstrate to all my readers about my drive and determination. My three granddaughters’ parents are talking with Daw Htay Win, the principal, and Daw Khin San Win, the eighth grade teacher at the school that my two younger granddaughters attend. That school has approximately 800 students while Ti Ti’s school has 450.

These are a couple of classrooms at that school.

Do you see many laptops in either of these photos?

While I am facing a wall due to Donald the Dumb’s wall, I am also facing a wall in contacting all of The Magnificent Seven…My Dream Team. I still haven’t been able to directly talk with all of my dream team, even though I have contacted people with whom some of my dream team work.

This is another place that you can help me. I have emailed and/or called Rod Stewart, Clarence Page, and Jacob Soboroff, but haven’t been able yet to chat with them personally. Sandy Jabeen is going back with me. Marc Ramos and Dr. Marchand are aware that I want them to go back with me during winter break from teaching.

There are two thing issues that I want you to remember. Pausch spoke of the value of his idea of walls.

The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough. They’re there to stop the other people.

I get his insight. I will impatiently wait to breech Donald the Dumb’s wall. In the meantime, I will continue to write about my dream and contract the Magnificent Seven and add to that number. However, I want you to consider giving to We Are Family in Myanmar, Inc., I want you to consider sending emails to your friends with links to this essay and my webpage, and I want you to return with me to Myanmar and see where your money is being spent.

The true value of a wall

Finally, remember that it is in giving that we get.

P.S. Donald the Dumb said, “I’m a very stable genius.” Yo, Donald, we have video tapes that prove the opposite and obvious. You are neither stable nor a genius. This video is from a commence speech given by Trump in 2004 at Wagner College.
