America has been facing very trying times. Often in the past, people stood up and faced reality as they helped guide America. In the 1940s and 1950s, Pete Seeger advocated social and political justice. He wrote and sang Quite Early Morning, which acknowledged the problems, while affirming, “If we could heed these early warnings, The time is now quite early morning,” we could make America a freer and more equal place in which to live.
Bobby Kennedy addressed the challenging times of the 1960s. My generation looked up to him as someone to follow. He said, “Every generation inherits a world it never made; and, as it does so, it automatically becomes the trustee of that world for those who come after. In due course, each generation makes its own accounting to its children.”
Saul Alinsky, a radical reformer and community organizer, wrote about America. He wanted us to believe in what America could be. “We must believe that it is the darkest before the dawn of a beautiful new world. We will see it when we believe it.”
We have a president today who is fixated on revenge and retribution. Nevertheless, he was found guilty of 34 felony charges in his hush money trial. Along with sexism, he is a racist and is indifferent to those less fortunate than he is. He signed several executive orders aimed at rejecting the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs in society. If we sit on our hands and do nothing, America will continue to suffer.
One person who addresses the folly, racism, and sexism is the Political Primate. Any single sentence that the Political Primate writes and says is grammatically and ethically superior to anything our president, the very stable genius, writes or says. Listen to any of the videos of the Political Primate and compare it to anything that our felon president has uttered or written.
