About King Donald
Let me get this straight. In 2015, Trump stated that he wanted to withdraw from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as the Iran nuclear deal. Three years later, in 2018, he withdrew and reimposed sanctions on Iran.
Jump ahead a half dozen years, and Trump’s sanctions and threats did nothing to deter them from continuing their work to create their nuclear arsenal. Much of that research took place a couple of hundred feet underground.
Now, Trump is taking the credit for deciding to bomb Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, three locations with bunker-buster bombs.
In less than a day from the beginning of the B-2 bombing raid on those three sites, Trump had a national address talking about the devastation of the bunker-buster bombs. Those bombs were designed to detonate several hundred feet underground. How could anyone determine so soon after the raid is beyond the pale? Trump said that “Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated.” Aside from the grammatical error of the redundancy of completely and totally, there is no way to determine the extent of the damage beyond his assertion. Additionally, there are questions about whether the Iranians had removed material from the site before the raid, fearing an attack.
This is another “Let me get this straight” question. In the wake of the recent flooding in Texas, both the state and federal governments need to reassess their preparedness for such disasters. The area of the Guadalupe River is known as Flash Flood Alley. Since the 1800s, there have been major flooding events in the Flash Flood Alley. Texas has made feeble attempts at thinking about doing something. Tragically, they have stopped thinking. Gov. Abbott dismisses discussing legislation to prevent or at least warn the area in advance of an event. The state is recovery mode. He merely wants to kick the can down the street, or rather down the river.
Trump visited the flood scene all dressed up in a suit but without a tie. When asked about the state and federal response to avoid a disaster like this, listen to our TACO President’s response.
Trump wants to eliminate the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and have states assume responsibility for disaster preparedness and response. Texas\'s failure to act in the past decade contributed to the massive death and destruction in Flash Flood Alley. It is obvious that states won’t take on that responsibility. Also, there have been cuts to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the National Weather Service (NWS). A high school student could grasp the inane nature of these changes.
Finally, my last “Let me get this straight” question is about Jeffrey Epstein and Trump’s relationship with Epstein. This is a video of Trump and Epstein at Mar-a-Lago in 1992.
Last week, at a news conference, Trump asked a reporter, “Are you still talking about this creep?”
In my recent essay, I mentioned the similarities between King George III and King Trump. Listen to what King Trump said, “No, no, we’re not a king.” His use of the royal we. The British monarchy uses the royal we to convey that the monarch and God work together for the benefit of England.
However, George III also suffered from what we call bipolar disorder. Hence, George III was called The Mad King. Trump suffers from habitual lying all the time in addition to his narcissism.
