So, Let Me Get This Straight...the Sequel
What’s the Gospel Truth?

I have taught at the college level for a quarter of a century. I love teaching, except for one thing: plagiarism. Students can’t cut and paste material from the Internet without citing their sources when writing term papers and weekly assignments. They also have to cite indirect quotes.

Trump, who is a very stable genius, is an avid reader. Apparently, he loves George Orwell’s novels, like Animal Farm, Burmese Days, and 1984. In 1984, Orwell wrote, “The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears.” Trump paraphrased Orwell when he said, “What you are seeing and what you are reading is not happening.” So, let me get this straight.

Which is it?

Which is it?

Everything Trump did during his life was a lie. To make matters worse, he lied about his previous lies. Anything that ran counter to Trump was fake news. The election wasn’t stolen from Trump; he lost it. He has been a loser his entire life. During his first presidential election, he stated that it would be stolen from him if he lost. Everything Trump says or does isn’t based on facts. Truth, for Trump, is predicated upon whether it helps or hurts him.

That is the backstory to this article about the Dominion lawsuit against Fox News. Dominion asserts that Fox reinforced Trump’s lie that Dominion voting machines rigged the election.

This is Tucker Carlson talking about the rigged election prior to the insurrection on January 6th.

This toddler realized Carlson wasn’t telling the truth. You can hear the child say, “So, let me get this straight.” Finally, Carlson got it straight. He wrote about how he felt about Trump in an email on January 4th, “I hate him passionately.” In the wake of the Capitol riot, Carlson called Trump “a demonic force” and “a destroyer.”

Then the Speaker of the House, Kevin McCarthy, gave Carlson 44,000 hours of videos from the January 6th select committee investigating the insurrection.

The video was like a walk in the park.
