I love humor, comedians, and jokes. I remember watching George Burns, Jerry Lewis, Groucho Marx, and Red Skelton on a black and white television in the late 40s. At the other end of my life, I watch SNL, Stephen Colbert, John Oliver, and Jimmy Kimmel.

However, Ko Ko, my son and the father of my three granddaughters in Myanmar, posted a video on Facebook that he wanted me to seek. This is a photo of my family when I visited them during winter break from teaching.

Ko Ko and Moh Moh are both bright and well-educated. They are very up-to-date on what is happening in the world, including the US. The link on Facebook was an SNL scatch about Donald the Dumb, aka Trump, which I missed seeing several months ago.

I replied that I enjoyed it and would write an article about it. Then, I watched it again and again. Our twice-impeached ex-president has been indicted four times this year, which contain nearly a hundred charges against him.

Each time I watched that clip, something new arose that haunted me. I got Trump aligning himself with Jesus. He had done the same with Lincoln. It was funny that Trump pushed the envelope further by saying he was persecuted worse than Jesus.

That began a litany of Trump besting Jesus. He mentioned three days to resurrect Jesus; he could have done it in two days. He would have called Good Friday MAGA Friday. Trump claimed that he was a self-made millionaire and did more than Jesus, who inherited everything from God.

I watched that SNL routine over again. At one level, it was funny. However, I was laughing about the comic comparison, but it wasn’t funny at another level. Trump believes that he is better than anyone. Trump knows he is more than a loser; he is the greatest loser. Trump huffs and buffs about his grandeur as a defense mechanism. He knows that he is lying about everything in his life.

If Trump wants to out-best someone, he could try outdoing Macbeth, who “struts and frets his hour upon the stage, and then is heard no more. It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.”

Macbeth failed in life but only destroyed himself. Trump belittled women, minorities, ethnic and religious groups, and anyone who didn’t kowtow to him.

I took this picture at Birnam Wood. That tree dates back to the time that Shakespeare wrote Macbeth. The witches reassured Macbeth that he was invincible until Birnam Wood came to his castle at Dusiname. Birnam Wood did come to Dusiname and will also come to Trump’s castle at Mar-a-Lago.
