When Are We Going To Wake Up?
We Can in Seconds, If We Think

It’s been half a dozen years since I taught a college class, and I miss it. If any college were to offer me an online class today, I’d jump at it. Since I’m 83, I’m not holding my breath.

Therefore, you are a member of my ad hoc class, and it is free. As a class member, you will experience my teaching mindset and understand my stylistic manner. This photo is my first PowerPoint slide.

Fifty famous people

Fifty famous people

That was it. Just these fifty mugshots. I wouldn’t say anything for a minute, as the class would throw out what they saw. So, what do you see? Write down the 5 most important or revealing issues that come to mind from this group photo.

Then, after the class has jotted down their ideas, I would say that the picture shows the top 50 famous people who have had a monument created in the United States in their honor, according to the National Monument Audit in the US. They are ranked in order from the most monuments to the fewest monuments in America. Abraham Lincoln has 193, and John Logan has 12. The National Monument Audit researched some 50,000 monuments across all the various states, honoring all sorts of different people from America and the world.

This collection shows us what America deems the 50 most important people. An even more important question is, what does the group photo say about America? Now, look at your list of the 5 most important or revealing issues of the group photo. What do you see as important?

The most important issue that I see when I look at those 50 faces is that Americans are sexist. Whether the monument was a stone sculpture or one in bronze, Americans will spend huge amounts of money to provide a statue of Lincoln. Americans want to remember someone like Lincoln for his accomplishments. I deem Lincoln as a template that we should follow in our lives. He is an excellent role model for everyone.

However, what should trouble you is that only 6% of the 50 top monuments were of women. That is blatant sexism. America is the land of freedom. Black males were finally given the right to vote with the 15th Amendment in 1870, just after the Civil War. Women achieved voting rights by the 19th Amendment in 1920, a half-century after the Civil War and just a couple of years after WWI.

I’ve written about sexism before. Sexism and racism are essentially parallel mindsets. Our station in life is based on our birth. According to white males, they are at the top of the pecking order. In our country, they claim they are better than females and other racial groups, like Hispanics, Asians, and other racial sub-groups, regardless of the sex of that minority group. White males perpetuate the myth that they are born better than the weaker sex and other racial groups.

Both racism and sexism are based upon male inferiority, both consciously and unconsciously. White males want to control their world. They want to restrict competition by dissing minorities and females.

Why did it take a century before Jackie Robinson was allowed into the major leagues? The answer is white inferiority. Today, 40% players are non-white. Another example is the percentage of women in Congress, which is 26%. Interestingly, women make up 50.5-51.1% US population. Do you see the discrepancy?

The issue of different races is an absurd concept. The grouping of whites, Hispanics, Asians, and others into different actual races isn’t true. Asians didn’t evolve from a different race than whites, blacks, or Hispanics. We all have our roots in Africa.

Neanderthals migrated out of Africa around 500,000 years ago. Homo sapiens left Africa a couple of hundred thousand years ago. Both Neanderthals and Homo sapiens migrated out of Africa and split off, with some going west into Europe and others going east into Asia.

We all came out of Africa.

We all came out of Africa.

Neanderthals and Homo sapiens inbred for a long time. However, Neanderthals became extinct around 40,000 years ago. Everyone in the world has small traces of Neanderthal in their DNA.

As for the weaker sex, women outlive men by 5-7 years worldwide. There are 43 people living beyond the age of 110 in the world. One of them is a male; all the rest are females. The oldest person alive is a woman from Jamaica, who is 117 years old.

Women’s brains develop two years sooner than men’s brains; some men’s brains never fully develop. The female prefrontal cortex develops 3-4 years sooner than the male prefrontal cortex. Women’s neurological milestones are reached faster than men's.

When I was born, all the various doctors that I saw as I grew up were men. At 83, I have three female doctors. Of the 99,182 med students this year, 55% are females. And there are over 50% residents or fellows in hospitals who are females. This year, 57% of medical school applications are female.

Finally, if you need more proof of the male need to dominate, look at the Epstein files. According to those who have researched the Epstein files, we might only have half of the files. Trump and his Department of Justice haven’t released all the files. Why? They don’t want to release the names, including Trump’s name, because it might hurt the reputations of the rich white males. So, an investigation of the sex trafficking of women, many of whom were minors, is being blocked to protect whom? White males. Trump’s name appears 38,000 times.

Sexually abusing women, some of whom were minors at the time, trumps prosecuting those involved in sex trafficking. When are we going to wake up? Sexism can’t be defined more clearly.

This is an excellent video of an interview with Stephen Fowler, a lead investigator for NPR. It is a step-by-step process of discovering missing files.
