Let Me Get This Straight
“If you go after me, I’m coming after you.”

If I wanted a literary example of why this essay is essential, I’d use these few lines from Hills Like White Elephants by Ernest Hemingway. A young couple is waiting for a train at a Spanish train station. They are having an argument about life.

The girl stood up and walked to the end of the station. Across, on the
other side, were fields of grain and trees along the banks of the Ebro.
Far away, beyond the river, were mountains. The shadow of a cloud
moved across the field of grain and she saw the river through the trees.
“And we could have all this,” she said. “And we could have everything
and every day we make it more impossible.”

This less poetic pictural metaphor explains mindset. The expression on this monkey’s face is attempting to grasp what is happening. It asks, “Let me get this straight.”

I really can’t grasp why we are arguing with each other about critically essential matters. Some men inform women about their reproductive rights. This movement has female followers, which is even worse. Steve Biko wrote regarding the oppressed, “The most potent weapon in the hands of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed.”

Regardless, who gave men that right? Look at the place of men in the world. There is no equality. Some men will justify their oppression of women, saying that all the deities of world religions say they are superior to the weaker sex. For example, men decide for women about their reproductive rights, what they wear, their place in society, ad infinitum.

Therefore, some loving and caring deity gave males that responsibility over women. Hmmm. Why didn’t that deity make women equal to men in the first place? Or maybe that deity is sexist. I’d opt for an alternative explanation. Men are the problem, not one of the many deities which form the various religions in the world. A neutral observer can see that women carry the fetuses for nine months, bear the children, raise them, and live longer than men by around a decade. That is accomplished by the weaker sex?

Their body should be their choice.

Their body should be their choice.

Here is another example: men try to dominate other men in controlling nations. Several millennia ago, the Hebrew people fought the Canaanites over the land of the Canaanites. Over time, the Hebrew people seized it. Their rationale was that their deity told them it was their land. However, the Roman Empire banished the Jews in the first century CE, resulting in the Diaspora. Israel hasn’t existed for nearly two millennia. In 1947, Jewish Zionists invaded the British Palestinian mandate.

Finally, the last example. Donald the Dumb is impersonating Clint Eastwood, “Go ahead, make my day.”

I’m not okay. I’m sick, I’m tired, and I’m armed, too, so be careful.

“I’m not okay. I’m sick, I’m tired, and I’m armed, too, so be careful.”

Any judge, district attorney, or special counsel who is hearing a case against Trump is on a witch hunt, according to him. This is a brief synopsis of legislation against Trump. He faces 91 felony counts in Washington, DC, New York, Georgia, and Florida. Additionally, he is indicted in New York regarding hush money to a porn star. After being convicted of defaming E. Jean Carroll in the first trial, Trump is also facing a retrial due to continuing to defame her.

The woman waiting for the train said, “And we could have everything and every day we make it more impossible.” Reaching out to others and telling them the truth isn’t too difficult. If we did, we could have enjoyed life without prejudices, sexism, racism, ad infinitum. However, some make it impossible to care for one another.

Trump is the quintessential example of making things impossible. His mantra is, “If you go after me, I’m coming after you.” The only judge to whom this threat doesn’t apply is Judge Aileen Cannon, whom he appointed.
